
Program Guidelines
In selecting potential sponsorship properties, our evaluation process will focus on events that:
- Enjoy a high profile and strong public support at the provincial, regional or national level;
- Create a positive and memorable experience for our customers;
- Provide an opportunity to demonstrate Bell Aliant's products and services within the Sponsorship Property;
- Create opportunities for on-site product demonstrations, elevated brand awareness and face-to-face interaction with our customers;
- Allow the application of Bell Aliant technology to enhance or support the event, especially when that technology is applied in innovative new ways.
Sponsorship Process
Organizations should attempt to submit their proposals a minimum of four months in advance.
- Online sponsorship proposal is received
- Complete evaluation process
- Issue decline or acceptance letter
- Negotiate sponsorship agreement
- Develop leveraging strategy for event/project
- Execute leveraging strategy at event
- Evaluate sponsorship experience
Funding Restrictions
Bell Aliant will not consider sponsorship proposals that fit the following criteria:
- Individuals
- Religious institutions or organizations
- Political organizations and candidates
- Bell Aliant will consider sponsorship proposals to support Provincial, Regional or National amateur sporting events. However, we cannot support individual teams or on-going operating costs of amateur sport organizations.
Requests for the following types of sponsorship will also not be considered:
- Travel, accommodation, meal expense, conference fees, field trips and tours;
- Debt reduction or operating expenses;
- Courtesy or program advertising;
- Buildings or "bricks and mortar" campaigns
While Bell Aliant accepts applications at any time, funding is limited and based on annual budgets. Proposals should be submitted a minimum of six months in advance of the project / event.
